The Co-op recycling centre was a state of the art plant that processes the waste paper from their offices in Manchester.
Waste Works was an educational facility based in the recycling center that educated the public and Co-op staff in recycling.
Activideo were commissioned by creative agency the Refinery.
The ten thousand people to have visited the recycling centre – the largest of its kind in the UK– have gained a hands-on experience of the ‘closed-loop system’ which sees paper shredded and baled before being sent to a local mill to be recycled and converted into toilet paper which was sold in selected Co-operative Food stores.
